Hello! My name is Melanie Johns and I am the English Language Arts teacher for the Junior High. I graduated in December of 2012 from William Woods University in Fulton, Missouri with a bachelors of science degree. This is my 10th year teaching at Gainesville but my 4th year in the Junior High. I'm also taking graduate level classes to receive my Master's Degree.

I enjoy spending time outside with my daughter, Hallee and our puppy, Nala. We spend a lot of time at sporting events, any kind of water activity, and in the woods hunting. 

I grew up in a small, rural community in Mid-Missouri much like Gainesville so I have enjoyed my transition to southern Missouri and now consider it home as well. I look forward to another great year at Gainesville R-V Schools. Go Bulldogs!
